It can be difficult to find the perfect canvas print sizes in a store. Sometimes it’s the right size but the image doesn’t suit you, or it’s the perfect colour scheme, only to be way too small for the space you are trying to fill. Or, worst of all, it’s exactly what you’re looking for BUT the quality is far from great.
There is a simple solution to this problem. Go the custom route and print the image that you want, using the exact dimensions that you need. It’s the perfect canvas print, made just for you – affordable and without compromising on the quality.
Are there any size restrictions?
We are pleased as punch to tell you that you are only restricted by our minimum and maximum sizes.
- Minimum size: 150mm x 150mm
- Maximum size: 1200mm x 2400mm
You have the flexibility to select any standard or custom size that falls between our minimum and maximum range.
If you want a print that is larger than our maximum, then we suggest doing a split canvas. This is when a single image is ‘split’ over multiple print panels, and then hung next to each other on a wall to create a feature of your image. There are many ways to split an image, and you are not limited to how many panels you want to use. We suggest that you let the image guide you though, because if there is a lot of detail in the image, then you may lose the impact if you break it up into too many panels.
Which canvas print sizes are commonly ordered?
If you visit our pricing page, you will see a table showing the standard sizes available for each of our products, as well as the price for that size. As we said before, you are not restricted to only using our standard sizes, but sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
Here is a brief overview of the standard sizes on offer:
“A” Prints
These sizes are perfect for creating a print with a portrait or landscape orientation. The most popular canvas print size at the moment is A2.

- A1 (841mm x 594mm)
- A2 (594mm x 420mm)
- A3 (420mm x 297mm)
- A4 (297mm x 210mm)
Big Prints
For when you are after a statement print and have a large space to work with.
- 1500mm x 1000mm
- 2000mm x 1000mm
Panoramic Prints
These work beautifully for photographs of landscapes – gorgeous rolling fields, breathtaking mountains, vast deserted beaches, or those rows upon rows of tulips that you visited when you travelled to Holland. If you’re a photography enthusiast then you could also ‘stitch’ photographs together to make one long image. The general rule of thumb that we use is that the print is twice as wide (left to right) as it is high (top to bottom).

Square Prints
Square prints are exactly what they sound like – equal width and height. The maximum size square that we can produce is a 1200mm x 1200mm. We love them as a single feature print, or a collection of square prints to create a storytelling photo wall. They also work well as a 4-panel split canvas set.

- 800mm x 800mm
- 600mm x 600mm
- 500mm x 500mm
- 400mm x 400mm
- 300mm x 300mm
