What is a Wood Print?
Our gorgeous wood prints come in two variations - transparent and white. Both options are beautifully crafted and the choice depends entirely on your personal preference. The deciding factor would be whether you want the wood grain to show through your image or not.
Clear/Transparent
Your photos are printed onto a transparent layer of film, then laminated with an additional protective layer for a silky satin finish. Your photo print is then pressure applied to a 9mm sheet of beautifully prepared Birch Ply wood. The light coloured areas of the transparent print allow the natural textures and colors of the Birch wood to show through, producing a beautiful light wood-grained texture to your photo.
White
Your photos are printed onto a plain white layer of film, then laminated with an additional protective layer for a silky satin finish. Your photo print is then pressure applied to a 9mm sheet of beautifully prepared Birch Ply wood. The wood grain does not show through your image but the Birch wood backing adds natural textures and softens the finished print.
All of our wood prints are supplied with mounting tape for easy installation.

Wood Photo Printing Inspiration
You can use wood prints the same way that you could use any of our other products. Don't feel like you have to limit your choices just because it is not a traditional canvas. We recommend that you keep your wood prints indoors and away from any excessive moisture (i.e. bathrooms and kitchens). Large Wood Print
One of the most popular wood prints ordered is a large print that will be the focal point in a room. With the warm textures and soft undertones, a wood photo print will be sure to make a gorgeous statement. Hang it in a living or dining room, above a staircase landing or in a bedroom.
Wood Print Photo Wall
A photo wall is when you arrange multiple prints together on a single wall space, using various print sizes and orientations. There are lots of templates online that will give you ideas on placement and arrangement, from structured lines or grids, to a more informal layout. You can create the photo wall in one go, or continue to add to it over time.
Split Wood Prints
Split-printing is when a single image is 'split' into segments and then printed over multiple panels. The traditional split uses 3 prints/panels that then hang next to each other side-by-side, but you can have as many as you like. The split-print idea was originally made popular using the traditional stretched canvas but you can apply this method to any print product. You are not limited to the traditional 3-panel split and can be creative with how you would like your image to be split and displayed.
